Outdoor Pool & Hot Tub

Ready to beat the heat? Our outdoor pool will be the ultimate summer experience, with plenty of space for your family to take a dip and lounge. We'll have cabanas and plenty of beach chairs to lounge, relax and let loose. Are you a snowbird or "Winter Texan"? Our hot tub might be your favorite amenity! Placed next to the pool and central to the resort, our tub will have jets and give you the most relaxing camping trip ever.

Clubhouse & Fitness Center

Our modern clubhouse is the first stop in your glamping adventure - here you'll find our friendly staff, ready to help make your stay unforgettable. The friendly faces you'll find can help you book canoes, kayaks, golf carts and more. The Market inside is stocked with snacks, sodas, beer & wine, candy and any other goods you may have forgotten! There's even RV repair parts, and camping must-haves like fire starters and S'more sticks. At the Clubhouse you'll also find our business center, fully equipped with a large TV & webcam - perfect for a business retreat or strategic campground session. The building next door features our 24-hour gym, spa-like showers, and App friendly laundry (no need for quarters and coins!)

Boardwalk & Lighted

Fishing Pier

The Retreat features a 320 ft. boardwalk, perfect to enjoy lakeside views and activities. If you have a boat, you can use the Ponderosa Marina's ramp to launch into the serene Lake Houston. Our boardwalk has boat slips for you to dock your boat, jet ski's or canoes, right near by the lighted fishing pier. There's plenty of fish in Lake Houston, including bass, catfish, crappie and perch. The lighted pier is perfect for early morning casts, or late night trolling! You can also rent kayaks and CORCL's to enjoy the water and refresh from the Texas heat. Be sure to check our calendar for fishing tournaments and more!

Wine/Beer Garden

Bring your A-game to The Retreat, and enjoy our concrete outdoor games! Choose from ping-pong, foosball, cornhole and ladder toss. When you're ready for a break, relax by a fire in our Wine/Beer Garden, and tell us your best spooky ghost story. The Wine/Beer Garden is BYOB but if you need a refill stop by the clubhouse and check out our selection of wine, beer, and more!

The Retreat has something for everyone! Kids can enjoy our outdoor plaground with a slides and all the frills. The playground is near the Wine/Beer Garden, so mom & dad can relax while the kids enjoy the outdoors. Enjoy putt-putt, Gaga Ball, horse shoes, shuffleboard, a jumping pad, volleyball, and even axe throwing!
